Laundry Worker 1

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking a Laundry Worker 1 to join the team at the Independence Mental Health Institute (IMHI). This is a full-time position with strong opportunity for advancement, growth, and development.

As a member of the Laundry Department of the Institute, the Laundry Worker 1 provides general laundry services for all patients and departments of the facility. Daily, the Laundry Department washes and dries dirty items and returns clean items throughout the facility. The Department ensures that all patient and hospital laundry is clean, sanitary, and properly mended, handles special laundry requests, and performs custodial/housekeeping duties.
