Primary Location: ND > WILLISTON > MERCY MEDICAL CENTER

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to supply clean laundry to all departments within the hospital.

Is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department, organization, and CHI.

Additionally, the position serves as a role model for ethical management behavior and promotes an awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles consistent with the Mission, Vision and Behavior Standards of Mercy Medical Center.

Essential Duties:
1.Infection control guidelines and procedures are carefully followed.
2.Soiled linen in picked up, weighed and recorded at specific times.
3.Used linen is sorted according to fabric and degree of soil, with

careful observation for potential safety hazards (i.e. pins, sharps,

personal belongings, etc.)
4.Linen is washed and dried according to department standards and

guidelines.
5.Laundry chemicals including soaps, detergents, bleach and other solutions are accurately used according to established procedures.
6.Linens are inspected for holes, defects, flaws and quality of cleanliness.
7.Defective items are repaired or referred for corrective handling.
8.Linen items are carefully folded and stacked.
9.Linen carts are loaded with required amounts of fresh linen and taken

to designated areas of the hospital.
10. Laundry equipment is operated and cared for according to manufacturers'

specifications and department policy and is maintained in good operating

condition.
11. Supplies are used appropriately and not wasted.
12. Linens are stacked and delivered according to specifications to assure

availability.

VIEW JOBS 10/1/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-30T00:00 Position Type: PRN Scheduled Hours per 2 week Pay Period: 0 Primary Location: ND > WILLISTON > MERCY MEDICAL CENTER Job Summary / Purpose Under the supervision of the Director of Environmental Services, the Environmental Services (EVS) Technician is responsible for providing and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment by ensuring all facility surfaces are maintained in a manner that supports the mission and vision of CHI St. Alexius Health Williston Medical Center. Essential Key Job Responsibilities * Maintains assigned areas in a clean, neat and orderly manner that includes performing the following daily cleaning functions throughout the facility: * Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors * Disinfecting furniture and equipment (I.e. beds, mattresses, walls, windows and window sills, TV's and TV remotes, door handles, blinds, etc.) * Empties and disinfects wastebaskets; transports waste to disposal area * Disinfects bathrooms and maintains appropriate bathroom supplies * Special cleaning projects as needed * Ensures supply rooms are stocked and organized. * Ensures assigned areas are cleaned in a timely fashion. * Respond to service calls and pages in timely fashion. * Carries the Service Pager if assigned. * Operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment to include, but not limited to, floor buffers, water extraction machines and carpet cleaning equipment, etc. * Perform other duties as assigned.
