General Summary of Duties:

Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of laundry equipment, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing any equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure high-quality laundry function.

Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, ironers, folding machines, and steam boilers.

  • Inspect equipment regularly to identify any potential issues and address them promptly.

  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems in laundry equipment.

  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs when necessary.

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English

  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment

  • 3 years preferred experience in a commercial laundry or similar environment

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

  • Certification in equipment maintenance and repair (optional but preferred).

  • Ability to take direction, questions, and instructions from supervisor, management and co-workers

  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions

Education:

  • High school education or equivalent required.

  • Trade apprenticeship preferred.
