The Laundry Attendants primary responsibility is to work efficiently to produce a high quality of various linen products throughout their shift to ensure availability of all items to room attendants for guest rooms. They are to demonstrate the G.U.E.S.T and L.E.A.D.E.R at all times when interacting with guest to ensure a positive experience.

  • High School diploma/GED - preferred

  • Previous laundry experience - required

Essential Duties / Tasks /


Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
90% - Laundering & Cleaning

  • Arrive to work on time and in proper uniform

  • Arrive to work with a positive attitude

  • Sorting Linen according to charted guidelines

  • Load/Wash linen according to weighted guidelines and pre-set formulas/cycles

  • Fold a variety of linen to meet quality assurance standards

  • Inspect/re-wash/ discard linen on an as necessary basis under supervision and report discard accurately on a monthly basis for inventory control

  • Record daily log of wash cycles for month end reporting

  • Work efficiently to ensure productivity standards are being maintained throughout work day

  • Sweep and mop laundry room daily as needed and as daily railroad schedule dictates

  • Clean and maintain tools and machinery as necessary and as daily railroad schedule dictates

  • Follow all policies and procedures per GP Handbook and departmental requirements

  • Adhere to all safety procedures

  • Practice safe handling of soiled linen

  • Wear proper footwear
    5% - Guest Service

  • Ensures positive guest experience by utilizing the GUEST service standards and LEADER recovery steps

  • Respond promptly to internal/external guest needs/requests

  • Departmental Training & Meetings
  • Participate in daily line-up and regular training/departmental meetings

The incumbent will provide courteous, friendly, sincere, efficient and graceful service that meets or exceeds guest expectations as well as the AAA Four Diamond standards. The incumbent is primarily responsible for cleaning guest rooms and public areas as well as laundering bedding, bath and restaurant linen while complying with sanitation and personal hygiene standards, as well as established standard operating procedures. The incumbent is responsible for the safe and appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste and fraud. Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports Qualifications: Education / Certifications / Work/Industry Experience: * 1+ years of relevant work experience in similar title and scope – required * Experience in similar size organizations- preferred Knowledge / Skills / Abilities (KSA's) & Competencies: * Knowledge of cleaning a guest room and public areas - required * Knowledge of proper chemical handling and usage-required * Knowledge of operation of laundry equipment- preferred * Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to diverse guests – required * Ability to provide friendly and efficient service while remaining calm and well-organized under pressure- required * Ability to prioritize and maintain multiple tasks - required * Ability to keep emotions under control -required * Ability to respond promptly to customer needs-required * Ability to communicate effectively with Guests and Grand Performers in the English language-required Essential Duties / Responsibilities / Tasks: . Primary duties, responsibilities, and tasks include, but are not limited to the following: * Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction utilizing the G.U.E.S.T. standards * Promptly and warmly greet guests upon arrival using proper Kessler verbiage * Answer phones and radios using appropriate verbiage and with a smile * Clean and tidy guest rooms and public areas per the standard operating procedures * Stock carts with appropriate supplies * Strip and make beds * Clean and sanitize guest bathrooms using proper chemicals * Clean and sanitize public restrooms using proper chemicals * Read SDS sheets and understand and follow proper chemical handling * Clean and tidy common areas, including dusting and vacuuming * Clean and polish wood floors according to standard operating procedures * Empty trash * Launder bedding, bath and restaurant linen * Fold linen per the standard operating procedures * Maintain neat and orderly closets and storage areas * Sweep entryways and porches * Follow proper safety and security measures * Assist with luggage for arriving and departing guests * The Kessler Canyon Ranch is a small intimate property.
