We are currently looking for a candidate with Laundry Aide Experience. Janitor experience. This position is full time with a full benefits package. The work schedule will be 2nd shift 3:00pm-11:30 pm Wednesday through Sunday with Monday and Tuesday as days off. Applicant must be available every Saturday and Sunday. The applicant chosen will be responsible for maintaining the physical property and residents areas in a clean, safe and comfortable manner in accordance with assignments and facility objectives. Accountable for all services performed, for adhering to standards and for promoting teamwork.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Performs all duties daily as assigned or instructed including, but not limited to, cleaning windows, vinyl's light fixtures and blinds, disposing of trash and transporting soiled and clean laundry.

  • As assigned, set up and tear down tables and chairs for special events and/or activities.

  • Performs resident moves/cleaning procedures, as instructed, when a resident is discharged, and/or transferred to another room.

  • Collects soiled linens, from housekeeping carts and closets, delivers linens to the laundry room.

  • Delivers clean linens to closets.

  • Delivers trash to the trash compactor and safely operates compactor.

  • Cleans all spills and maintains restroom cleanliness.

  • Provides assistance by unloading products from vehicle or inventory closet to the proper location (i.e., storage or Manor Shop).

  • Vacuums, sweeps and/or mops dining rooms.

  • Operates equipment (i.e., extractors) to clean up flooding on the facility.

  • Moves furniture in respite rooms and resident rooms as assigned.

  • Follow established safety policies and procedures including proper daily disposal of waste, proper usage of all chemicals and keeping work area free of hazardous and unsafe objects.

  • Ensures that work and assigned areas are clean and that equipment, supplies, etc. are properly stored and secured at all times.

  • Immediately reports fire and safety hazards to supervisor.

  • Ensures that work and assigned task schedules are followed as closely as practical.

  • Ensures that established infection control and universal precautions are maintained when performing housekeeping procedures.

  • Honor Resident Bill of Rights.

  • Supports Mease Manor's mission and vision.

  • As a legal and moral responsibility, immediately reports all witnessed or suspected resident abuse, neglect, exploitation or misappropriation of funds to the department director.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

One year experience in a similar setting preferred. Must be available to work early mornings.

Mease Manor is currently looking for a maintenance technician to help maintain apartments and common areas in the nine-story building located on a 12 acre campus. This is a full-time, over night position working Wednesday through Saturday 9:30 pm -7:30 am. DUTIES Maintenance technicians are responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and plumbing equipment in resident rooms and common areas. Position Summary: Under the direction of the Plant Operations Manager, responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance schedules. Responds to emergencies as assigned. Essential Functions of the Job: * Conduct preventative maintenance on mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems as scheduled through the Plant Operations Manager. Access Facilities Module of AOD to schedule work, retrieve maintenance tasks, record completion of work and maintain database of equipment. * Provide scheduled and unscheduled/emergency repairs to facility equipment including, but not limited to, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs (low voltages), sheetrock repairs, landscaping and apartment repairs as needed. * Perform plumbing repairs, including but not limited to, removing and reinstalling commodes, vanities, sinks, faucets, shower bars, shutoff valves. Rebuild apartment mixing valves. * Rebuild Leonard and Powers hot water heating system mixing stations. * Make repairs to piping systems including, but not limited to, replacing valves and copper lines. * Operate and repair HVAC systems including, but not limited to, splits, PTAC's, major air handlers, apartment fan coils and hallway fan coils. Cleans coils, verify air flows against drawing specifications, replace filters, repair damper motors. Test for current draw in motors, replace belts and lubricate bearings. * Verify operation of Metasys equipment such as Variable Air Volume (VAV ) Boxes, Variable Speed Drives (VSD), Network Automation Engines (NAE). Become proficient in operation of Optiview Control Panel. * Read and interpret equipment manuals, building drawings and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. * Makes repairs, as necessary, to systems and equipment in kitchens. * Make repairs to laundry equipment in central and resident laundries. * Operate major mechanical systems including chillers, heat exchangers, water softening system, cooling tower, air compressors and pumps. Take readings of pressure, temperature, flow, amp draw. * Create systems drawings and pass written systems tests. * Operate life safety systems including the fire alarm panels, emergency generators, elevators, sprinkler systems, nurse call. Participate in periodic life safety testing. * Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties. * Enter completed work orders in AOD. * Calmly and effectively, responds to emergency situations (i.e., fire, flooding, smoke, power outages). Participate in hurricane preparedness. * Participate in inventory of parts in the storeroom. * Participate in the purchasing process as requested. * Assists in training staff in Plant Operations department. * Assist in ensuring the safety of staff, residents, and visitors by identifying potential safety hazards to immediate supervisor and following all emergency plans (i.e., evacuation, hurricane, etc.). * Honor Resident Bill of Rights. * Support Mease Manor's mission and vision. * As a legal and moral responsibility, immediately reports all witnessed or suspected resident abuse, neglect, exploitation or misappropriation of funds to department director. * All other duties as assigned.
