The Lateral Partner Recruiting Coordinator will support the Global Director of Lateral Partner Recruiting & Integration and the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) in the implementation of strategic growth initiatives related to lateral partner recruitment and integration. The candidate must be able to exercise independent judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.essential functions of role.

Job Description


  • Assist the Global Director and CSO with all aspects of the firm-wide lateral partner recruiting and integration functions.

  • Support the identification of lateral partner hiring needs and candidates by compiling and analyzing data and conducting basic research, including developing and updating candidate profiles and reporting on best practices.

  • Administer recruitment database and other systems related to lateral partner recruiting, including systems related to candidate identification and tracking and communications with search firms.

  • Prepare data analyses and disseminate as directed via letters and memoranda. Administer and maintain lateral partner recruitment and integration policies and practices, including assistance with lateral partner recruiting activities, scheduling, conflicts and background checks, onboarding, and long-term integration efforts.

  • Support development and maintenance of relationships with search firms and administration of recruiter agreements.

  • Assist with activities for the efficient onboarding and integration of new lateral partners.

  • Manage team administrative needs including answering and filtering calls and inquiries from search firms, candidates, and internal stakeholders, and scheduling and coordinating meetings as requested by the Global Director and CSO.

  • Build proficiency in understanding and communicating about Firm practice areas and mission, conveying these priorities to stakeholders as appropriate.

  • Perform other administrative duties and special projects as directed by Global Director and CSO.


  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail

  • This position operates in a professional office environment which is generally free of hazards and exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

  • This position requires regular attendance on-site at a Dechert location.

  • This position routinely operates standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopy machines, fax machines, and filing cabinets, and requires frequent communication with the firm's employees and partners as well as third parties.

  • This position is mainly sedentary. As a US Lateral Associate Recruiting Manager at Latham, you will develop and implement an associate recruitment strategy for the US.
