We are seeking a Large Format Print Operator for a position here in Salt Lake City. This position requires experience in operating a large format printer roll & rigid printing and preflight.

The ideal candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while remaining flexible under pressure. The Large Format Print Operator will be required to learn all aspects of print and finishing within the shop.

Qualifications and Duties of the Large Format Print Operator position:

  • Preparation of artwork for the print by reviewing spelling, type size, UPC verification, template lines, text limits, line thickness, colors, bleeds and registration marks.
  • Proven ability using large format digital printers and equipment that include roll and rigid printers.
  • Prefer a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in large format print environment.
  • Provide and have knowledge of preventative and periodic maintenance of large format printers and finishing equipment.
  • Strong ability using Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Illustrator, Page Maker, Photo Shop. Strength using RIP software & color management is required.
  • Proven ability using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Possess initiative, with problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledgeable regarding industry substrates and films.

  • Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00am 4:00pm
  • Starting Wage: $15.00 - $20.00 an hour DOE

Protects, decorates and finishes structural surfaces for Headquarters Facilities by: Applying oil base and water base paints, varnish, lacquer and stains to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, fixtures of buildings, furniture and other structures. Responsibilities * Applies a variety of paints and coatings using various applications including but not limited to rolling, brushing, or spraying and various hand applications. * Strips old finishes in preparation for re-coating. Methods include chemical strippers, sand blasting, burning, scraping, and sanding. * Hangs a variety of wall coverings and prepares surfaces for same. * Prepares ceiling and wall surfaces for finish coating of wall covering or paint, performs such tasks as patching, taping, mudding, sanding and plastering using sanders, wire brushes, wire wheels, grinding wheels and sanding discs. * Produces vinyl signs. * Matches and mixes paint and coatings to match existing colors. * Minor repairs all paint related tools. * Performs other tasks as assigned by Management. Qualifications * Must have four years practical experience and good background in all phases of the painting trade. * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Must be able to work in a professional manner with others as well as alone without constant supervision. Must have a positive attitude with the ability to work as a team. * Must be able to understand English for general communication, video training, building security, and safety. Also, must be capable of understanding instructions both verbally and in writing and able to listen and ask clarifying questions as needed. * Stable and controlled hand movement to perform detail work. * Work from ladders, scaffolds and mechanical lifts for extended periods of time. * Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, push, pull and work overhead for extended periods of time. * Able to climb a ladder while carrying working materials. * Able to match and distinguish colors. * Must have good eye-hand coordination. * Must have a valid driver's license * Must pass all required safety and equipment certifications and trainings. * Must have at least 20/40 vision with or without corrective lenses and not less than 120 degrees combined horizontal peripheral vision.
