Large Group Account Executive

Position Overview

The Account Executive (AE) position is located in eastern St. Johns County, near St. Augustine Beach. The associate will be responsible for large group clients with over fifty employees. The position reports to the Benefits Manager and is responsible for clients' on-going satisfaction with The Bailey Group's benefits consultant and advisement services. The AE will perform daily benefits tasks and analytical functions related to the processing and administration for the client's health & welfare benefits. The ideal candidate will provide customer service, act as a carrier liaison, create and maintain financial reporting on all employee benefit costs, and must have the ability to report to all levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Create Proposals, Marketing, and Benefits Communication

  • Generate account proposals and RFPs. Secure underwriting offers, respond to detailed vendor questionnaires, and communicate with brokers and enrollment firms

  • Negotiate contracts

  • Provide open enrollment support, including vendor implementation and employee presentations.

  • Process and Fulfill Applications and Enrollments (via paper or on-line)

  • Service including Carrier Invoice and Payroll Premium Reconciliation

  • Assist with Subscriber Benefits Questions

  • Provide ongoing onsite problem resolution assistance in all areas of benefits administration, including vendor management.

  • Maintain and monitor ongoing project list. Prioritize and complete action items.

  • Analyze and report all data related to medical and ancillary plans.

  • Analyze company benefits policies, laws concerning mandatory insurance coverage, data concerning prevailing practices among similar organizations, and legal requirements to establish competitive benefits programs.

  • Modify aspects of existing program according to findings, utilizing knowledge of prevailing practices, emerging types of benefits packages, and customary benefits provided to all associates.

  • Collaborate with HR Department and Operations to achieve successful implementation of benefits strategies and identification and implementation of benefit process improvements initiative.

  • Assist and or manage Special projects or other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of three to five years of benefits experience with emphasis in benefits administration, specifically with health and welfare plans

  • Extensive experience with spreadsheet data analysis is required. Intermediate to advanced level MS Excel skills (strong formula and spreadsheet-linking skills)

  • Proficiency with using MS Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Publisher

  • Overall working knowledge of benefit plan policies and procedures. Experience with multi-state benefit plans is helpful.

  • Working knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA regulations.

  • Excellent communication skills (active listening, organized responsiveness, and polished written and oral summarization)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed Health and Life Agent (if not licensed, the selected associate will be provided the opportunity and requirement to obtain license)
  • Bachelors Degree

  • including but not limited to accessing files via bending, reaching, pushing, pulling; use of keyboard and other push button devices requiring fine motor repetitive motion skills; communicating with clients, staff and vendors via phone, computer, and face to face contact.

The ARC will perform daily compliance and benefits tasks and analytical functions related to the processing and administration for the client's group benefits. The ideal candidate will provide customer service, act as a carrier liaison, create and maintain reporting on all employee benefit costs, and must have the ability to communicate with levels of the client organization and management. Department: Small Group Benefits Credentials and Skill Requirements: Bachelors degree in a human service field preferred; FL Health, Life and Annuities License (2-15 license) and 2 years experience in small group preferred; working knowledge of MS WORD, OUTLOOK, POWER POINT, and EXCEL software; ability to work well with individuals and groups; excellent written and verbal communications skills; good organization skills; and ability to work well under pressure. Reports to: Director of Group Benefits Responsible for Supervising: N/A Objectives: to coordinate group benefits products and problem resolution, to facilitate client satisfaction and compliance, and promote client confidence in The Bailey Group. Expectations: communicate with new clients or existing clients routinely, have same-day response to initiating resolution of client concerns, and appropriately timed submission of new client and renewal client census, application, and compliance data. Accountability: timely review of all new group prospects, and annual review of renewing group clients. Work Responsibilities: General: Professionally and courteously address prospect, client, co-worker and carrier concerns to result in an effective resolution. Demonstrate a willingness and capability to learn new software and equipment as required. Schedule appointments and interact with the public, one-on-one or in group settings and be a consistent ambassador for The Bailey Group. Aid the Office with all other requests that will assist in the development or maintenance of progressive business operations, including electronic communication, data storage, maintenance of data lists, etc. Group Product Specific Account Guidance Observe and identify additional product needs (other group products or individual products) for current clients and prospects who may have a desire for a change in product or enhancement to their existing coverage, and continually identify all the services offered by The Bailey Group. Gather and assemble appropriate and accurate information, to initiate new and transferred accounts and plans, in compliance with the law, and conjunction with the carrier. Service Complete and/or assist any involved Producer with annual review of renewal business, and make recommendations regarding the group's needs based upon previous year's experience. Schedule meetings to meet with (or for Producer) or independently with client contact as needed. Meet with client face-to-face, via electronic communication, or via mail regarding applications (depending upon legal requirements) to client for signature. Complete and submit all quotes, spreadsheet options, and applications related to plans, and maintain contact with carrier until policy is written. Deliver product information to clients in an orientation forum or with group contact, as new information is released. Provide on-going support for claims issues. Maintain accurate data-base and electronic files containing client information. Complete all necessary compliance and WRAP documentation in a timely fashion.
