Position OverviewCanon U.S.A., Inc., is currently seeking an Account Executive to join our imagePROGRAF Division within the Business Imaging Technologies Group. We will rely on your selling skills to achieve monthly channel sales targets. Customer service and problem resolution are essential talents.

Solid business communications, time management and account planning skills are a must. Your ability to pro-actively interface and engage with field leadership and field sales on a continuous basis is crucial to the implementation of the channel's strategic plans. Your presentation and account management skills will be called upon to develop and grow the relationship between Canon USA.

The AE represents the company to the Channel, and the Channel to the company in all sales, and sales-oriented activities including marketing, advertising, sales promotions, training, and other Channel-related support. This is a home office position and will cover the North Central territory, which includes approximately 70 resellers over 9 states, including Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 5 years of outside related sales experience is required

  • Outside sales experience in selling office, commercial and/or industrial products

  • Knowledge of wide format technology

  • This job requires 75% weekly overnight travel, requires driving and or flying for company business as an essential function of the job and must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • The AE must possess the ability to research, investigate, and report on competitive products and technology trends to channel leadership; be self-motivated to manage the territory as a business professional; be able to schedule activity, plan meetings and resolve reseller's issues; demonstrate a fiscal responsibility by adhering to financial budgets and targets set forth by management; submit paperwork and reports on time as required; submit weekly reports and accrue sales forecasts; provide product and market feedback to Canon management on industry trends, dealer activity, customer changes, business opportunities, product demands and other events that will allow Canon to meet customer needs and overcome competitive challenges. Assists in organizing and conducting presentations, seminars, and participates in trade show events. Maintains accurate records on sales, prospects, account activity and forecasts. As the Segment Sales Executive – Midwest, your primary duties and responsibilities will include: * Active role in development, implementation and maintenance of (SFDC) reporting at the corporate and dealer level * Secondary point of contact for any government sales interactions and is the resellers' voice within the company; an important source of market information for the company * Support day to day needs of the government segment (i.e. sample parts, benchmark follow up, information requests, etc.). * Works closely with the Territory Sales Leader and cross-functional departments (Sales Operations, Channel Marketing, Finance and Customer Advocacy) to ensure best results and territory/resellers success in government sales * Conduct sales presentations to selected government prospects * Identify and assist with major account development * Participate in trade shows * Demonstrates commitment to Stratasys Core Values by leading, acting and behaving in a manner consistent with these value BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * 3 years of prior Sales experience. Government sales experience preferred * At least 1 year of experience working in Channel Sales * Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing or equivalent training in business or sales management.
