Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Performs Seed preparation and related technological processes in accordance with instructions from the Supervisor, Process Engineer and lead operator. Prime duties include seed K.O.H. etching, lapping, polishing, cleaning, mounting, and data entry.
Monitors the ovens, hot plates and M.S.A. temperature, maintains accurate log of process parameters on seed preparation sheet and entering into the data base, as instructed by the Process Engineer and Production Supervisor.
Maintains raw material, graphite, glue, gaskets, bottles, and spare parts inventories.
Supports the evolution and maintenance of a complete set of ISO compliant Seed Preparation and anneal room procedures.
Keeps Seed Preparation and M.S.A. areas clean and actively participates in housekeeping initiatives. Follows all safety and health regulations and procedures.
Education & Experience
High school graduate.
College level courses in math, physics, metrology, or chemistry are a plus.
1 - 3 years of mechanical/electrical/chemical trades experience. Some lab experience is a plus.
Experience with problem analysis and resolution
Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently or working with others
Ability to recommend and implement improvements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with networked PC based computer system (MS Office, spreadsheets, access, graphics, Email, MRP systems, and accounting software)
ITAR compliance requirement: Individual must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
Skills
Must be prepared to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends as a part of normal work schedule.
Must be technically inclined with good mechanical skills.
Must be well organized, able to perform several tasks in parallel and work with minimum supervision.
Must be capable to do data entry.
Ability to handle multiple priorities involving external and internal priorities
Ability to excel in a cross-organizational, cross cultural, global team environment
