The Landscape Technician has the responsibility to participate in an efficient and comprehensive landscape maintenance program. An added duty of this role will be to cover for the landscape technicians in the case of scheduled or unscheduled absences. The incumbent will assist in providing groundskeeping, building maintenance, along with maintaining equipment and tools.
Primary responsibilities include:
Work with the landscaping team in daily tasks. Assist as needed for scheduled/unscheduled absences. Help with equipment maintenance and repairs. Assist Landscape Manager and Landscape Tech Lead with coordination of deliveries.
Follow proper training and best practices in equipment use, maintenance and daily tasks. Work day-to-day groundskeeping operations of multiple retail banking and main office facilities.
Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties as required. Assist in mowing lawns either by hand or using a riding lawnmower when needed to expedite work orders or cover for colleagues on PTO. Recommend specific plants, trees, grass, or other landscape features dependent on local site conditions and established Citizens standards.
Landscape by planting, trimming, and maintaining flower beds, grass, shrubs, bushes, and small trees. Shovel snow from walkways and apply anti-skid as needed; Clean parking lots, sidewalks, and all exterior areas while performing routine groundskeeping.
Perform spring and fall cleanups to remove excess debris, leaves, and trim landscaping. Install new hardscaping, river rock, fencing, signage, and other furnishings as required. Pressure wash building exterior and refresh parking lot painting as needed. Clean gutters and roof drains of debris.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping. Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained and utilized in a safe manner consistent with established standards.
Close out work orders upon completion via iPad or Computerized Maintenance Management System. Respond to emergency and non-emergency service requests and prioritize work order response. Communicate in a pleasant and professional manner with internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
2 or more years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance
Experience driving larger vehicles such as box trucks & pickup trucks with trailers
Proven customer service experience and/or abilities
Competent use of MS Office applications to include MS Excel, Word, Outlook
Ability to travel as required
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under pressure with efficiency and accuracy
Ability to plan and prioritize workload
Ability to work outside in all types of weather to complete jobs safely
Proven track record to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks to assure successful timely completion of all
Comfortable working at heights (ladders, roof top, etc)
Education, Certifications, and/or Professional Credentials:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid Drivers License, required
