Job Summary: Responsible for bringing in a consistent flow of profitable new business in accordance with the companys sales and marketing plan, in order to meet an annual sales goal.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
License / Certifications:
Must have a Colorado Drivers License and meet our Motor Vehicle Eligibility policy.
Completion of CLT is highly encouraged at this position level.
Specialized Skills
Must have an understanding of how to design and construct patios, retaining walls, water features, and irrigation and lighting systems.
Must have an understanding of how to use a transit to establish grade and create a grading plan.
Must have knowledge of construction safety practices.
Must be able to work extended work hours and have flexibility in scheduling; including evening, weekend, and holidays. Must have the ability to work overtime when necessary.
Must be able to create accurate plans and specification sheets using the provided software.
Spanish training is highly encouraged for this position.

Essential Duties:
Solicit sufficient new business opportunities to meet sales objectives.
Develop and maintain a referral base.
Meet with prospective clients and determine the suitability of the lead.
Prepare designs and proposals to meet clients needs.
Obtain documents and conduct site analysis to determine property lines, soil type, slope, drainage, exposure, and existing structures, features, roads and utilities that will affect project.
Propose and sell design fees whenever possible.
Prepare and present proposals in a complete and professional manner.
Sell work within approved margin guidelines to achieve targeted job costs and profit margins.
Oversee projects to ensure design specifications are met and to provide quality control.
Provide all necessary designs, specifications and other relevant information to ensure accuracy of installation.
Work with suppliers and subcontractors to establish best pricing and verify pricing accuracy for each proposal.
Source and order specialty materials.
Research, understand and provide information to project supervisors about any permits that may be needed.
Communicate with the client and crews on a daily basis.
Create and sell change orders. Ensure all information is communicated to the Construction Project Supervisor.
Request and review all invoices for accuracy.
Participate in pre-and post-project walk-through.
Represent the company in appropriate industry organizations for the purpose of building relationships that lead to new business.
Participate in training events to improve skillset and become a better designer.
Other Duties:

Assist with the creation and distribution of marketing materials.

Please note that the salary information shown below is provided in compliance with state specific laws. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations, and therefore may be different in other locations or operating divisions.
Pay: $65,000 -$85,000
