Merrick & Company is seeking an experienced Landscape Architect with 7+ years of experience in Land Development, Planning, and Landscape Architecture for a position in our Charlotte, NC office.
Typical salary range for this position is $73,000.00 - $92,000.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Job Description
The position will be a part of our growing Landscape Architecture/Land Planning Team and will work on a variety of both private and public land development projects. Recent experience in residential Land Planning is highly favored. Project types will include residential, institutional, commercial, and recreational.
The position requires the following:
Collaboration with other design disciplines
Work within a team on various project related tasks
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong graphic communication skills both by hand and digital means
Creative problem solving
Ability to follow schedule and budget commitments
Licensure or ability to obtain within one year is strongly preferred
Required Experience
Bachelor's Degree in landscape architecture, land planning or related discipline from an ASLA accredited school is required
Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from accredited school is a plus
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Landscape Architecture/Land Planning
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD required.
Knowledge of PhotoShop, InDesign, and SketchUp is a plus
Local candidates preferred
Strong portfolio is preferred / Please include when applying

Physical Requirements
Requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation.
Be able to work in an environment with open discussions and visitors without getting distracted.
May be required to lift up to 20 lbs.
