Job Title: HOA/Commercial Account Manager (Eastern Side of Portland)Department: Commercial Maintenance

Location:
Clackamas, Oregon

Compensation: Targeted at $70- 75k base salary plus commissions on new sales and enhancement sales, healthcare, vehicle, cell phone, laptop, PTO.  Enhancement sales commission is 5% and new maintenance contracts is 1/12th of the contract price for 12 months.  This can easily be a $100k job.

Position Summary:Our client is an established full service landscape company that has been servicing the greater Portland, OR area for many years.  They are reputable for doing quality work and they plan to hire an Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of HOA accounts with the goal of growing the book of business, increasing client satisfaction, selling enhancements and securing contract renewals.  This is a very good job opportunity to consider so please review the duties listed below.

  • Bidding and selling new maintenance accounts and enhancements.
  • Management of assigned HOA accounts.
  • Daily management of crew and equipment

Account Management & Sales 

  • Bidding and selling new maintenance accounts on Eastside locations to grow existing book of business.
  • Make at minimum one site visit per Month to each account.
  • Set up monthly meeting onsite with your contact(s) for HOA accounts. Update site contacts monthly at minimum.
  • Monitor irrigation on sites, adjust clocks if needed, report repairs needed.
  • Monitor health of Turf, shrubs and trees on all accounts and schedule techs as needed.
  • Write up requested work orders as needed and provide proposal to client.
  • Recommend enhancements and provide proposals to clients to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Complete all paperwork daily, turn in receipts and billings.

Management of Crews and Equipment:

  • Hire new eastside crew members as needed.
  • Solve issues with crews, write up employees for disciplinary reasons.
  • Monitor GPS for correct time spent on each Account and to see that crew is following best route.
  • Report any major issues or problems with crews to Department Manager.
  • Monitor all accounts regularly for Quality Control.
  • Make sure equipment and vehicles needing repairs or service are written up and placed in Mechanics area.
  • Perform annual reviews.

Educational and Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Account Manager in a commercial/HOA setting.
  • Degree in horticulture, landscape management, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Experience and knowledge of irrigation systems, PNW plant identification, plant insect & disease diagnosis.
  • Spanish/English bilingual helpful but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to walk through client’s property, through all types of terrain.
  • Able to drive company assigned vehicle with occasional trailer.

This is a full-time position with flexible Monday-Friday work schedule.
