The Land Use Enforcement Officer plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with land use regulations and promoting sustainable development practices within our community. Responsibilities include evaluating land use proposals, conducting site inspections, and acting as the enforcement official for violations of land use regulations.

Also assist the Planning and Zoning Official. The Land Use Enforcement Officer will collaborate with various departments and agencies to facilitate the permitting process and enforce zoning ordinances.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent plus related experience in construction, architecture, geography, other land use setting or law enforcement. An understanding of land use regulations and proficiency with map and plan reading to identify wetland boundaries, easements, and other land notations along with strong customer service and computer skills including proficiency utilizing Microsoft programs also ideal. A Connecticut driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

This is a part-time position consisting of 19.5 hours per week at an hourly rate of $30.00
