Overview

RES is the nation's largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 294 stream miles and 58,000 wetland acres and conserved and preserved 9,100 acres of endangered species habitats. RES operations include planting over 14,000,000 restorative trees and reducing over 250 tons of polluting nutrients. RES ecological solutions enable a of balance economic development and ecological sustainability.

The Land Representative will develop relationships with prospective landowners with the goal of closing on property acquisitions in fee simple or joint development via application of conservation easement.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze property data in market areas for suitability of sites

  • Negotiate and recommend purchase and joint development opportunities to Management

  • Assist in the investment memo preparation and organization of closing documents

  • Assist in design and approval of projects in regulatory phase

  • Assist in development of projects in field operations phase

  • Secure relationships and local knowledge concerning market needs, customers, and demand.

  • Assist with sales and marketing response

  • Responsible for due diligence through closing of the property

  • Company management team

  • State sales, regulatory, and field operations teams, analysts, in-house counsel and other RES team members

  • Community business leaders and clients in target markets

  • Outside counsel

  • Real Estate Broker and Agents

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • BA/BS
  • 2 or more years in land acquisition and development OR sales

Desired:

  • BA/BS in Real Estate
  • 3 or more years in land acquisition and development; preferably environment focused

Responsibilities * Owner set ups: Input new owners into the Enertia system based on direction from other Land personnel.• Process consists of assigning a new owner number, adding the name, address, tax ID, payment frequency and method, other owner attributes, as well as adding text notes and scanned images into the system.• Owner changes: Changing existing system data on addresses, payment frequency and method, owner type and special handling as well as adding notes and scanned images. • Owner telephone inquiries: retrieve, log and return interest owner telephone calls; perform basic research and mail out form letters to acquire any additional documentation necessary to make system changes; forward basic researched information to Analysts for further handling. • Mail returned by the Post Office: Update addresses in the Enertia system when new addresses are requested by owners or provided by the Post Office. Place owners with bad addresses in hold payment status and notify the Analysts of the change; make a copy of the returned check and send the check to Treasury for re-deposit and/or re-issue.• Owner missing addresses and tax ID numbers: Use Lexis Nexis search service to find, verify, document and update addresses and tax ID numbers in the Enertia system. • Acquisition letters: Amend the standard notification letter to fit the latest acquisition of properties, construct the exhibit of properties, assist in the printing process, procure envelopes and mailing labels, combine all information into packets and coordinate mail out with our internal mail room or external third party personnel.• Assist Lease and Division Order Analyst with special projects when requested. • Adhere to the company's values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.• Support company vision and mission. • Adhere to established work schedule, attendance standards and be punctual to work and meetings. Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications * One (1) year minimum administrative assistant experience. Oil and gas experience is preferred. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public. • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities without close supervision. • Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills. • Preferred bilingual in English and Spanish.• Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Required: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) Education * Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent.
