D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Land Development Project Manager for their Operations Department. The right candidate will prepare a site for the construction of houses. This includes supervising water, roadway, sewer and drainage construction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create, review, and maintains all due diligence property documents and reports

  • Insure that property documents comply with DRH standards and notify management of concerns and potential solutions

  • Insure that all due diligence work is completed prior to expiration of contingency period

  • Coordinate information sharing and work distribution with land development, acquisitions, construction and marketing teams

  • Provide site inspections to identify project status, progress and risk management

  • Maintain budgets and development schedule oversight and updating

  • Coordinate and communicate with primary engineer and other primary consultants

  • Coordinate with agencies for permitting, insurance, assurance and close-out requirements for developments

  • All projects should be seen a few times a week. There should be at least one contact with the project engineer once a week. Progress should be noted and deficiencies found during the construction process. Close contact should be kept with all contractors.

  • Oversee construction of the entrances, lots, amenities and associated infrastructure for DR Horton communities; to include road, drainage, water, sewer and landscaping.

  • Manage project budget, review field purchase orders and provide reporting.

  • Coordinate contractors and inspectors for completion of land development.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have a vehicle, a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel.

VIEW JOBS 12/5/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-05T00:00 POSITION PURPOSE The Senior Manager Assortment Planning will lead a team of Managers and Senior Analysts that provide subject matter expertise, project management, and analytical support to assortment decisions made by the merchandising organization during category reviews. This position is responsible for managing all facets of category Business Reviews (BR) and Product Line Reviews (PLR) for designated departments and should be seen by merchants as a thought leader on category and assortment strategy. The Senior Manager should be an advocate for implementing assortment planning best practices across the portfolio of categories. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 70% Partner with Merchants to set strategic priorities, goals, and timelines for each review. Provide process management for monitoring progress and proactively identifying and communicating issues. Review project milestones, conduct post-mortem analysis and integrate new sources of data that support category objectives. Lead team in structuring category reviews, assessing requirements and design analysis that influences category strategy. Provide thought leadership to team relative to category reviews. Oversee development of executive-level presentations that summarize analysis including historical category performance, strategic rationale underpinning assortment decisions and expected financial impact. Lead report out to all levels of management. Accountable for team s accuracy, thoroughness, thought process, timeliness, and viability of recommendations. 20% Work with MVPs to develop and maintain a calendar of category reviews. Develop connections with cross-functional teams to further enhance analytical insight and viability of executing assortment changes. Provide program management of Portfolio Strategy. Deepen category knowledge through consumer insights. 10% Own SVP/MVP relationship for designated departments. Leadership roles in strategic projects. Ad hoc analysis and reporting. NATURE AND SCOPE Reports to: Director, Assortment Planning Accountable for the management of a department or functional group through subordinate supervisors/managers and for all personnel issues including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Environment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Travel: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Education Required: The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. Years of Relevant Work Experience: 6 years Physical Requirements: Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
