D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Land Development Project Coordinator in the Operations Department. The right candidate will be responsible for administration of assigned projects in the Land Development department. Serves as project coordinator interfacing with vendors, subcontractors, internal customers, and the project team in both verbal and written formats.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Pre-qualify subcontractors and maintain subcontractor contact lists
Prepare bid packages including scopes of work and contract documents files
Solicit, distribute and evaluate subcontractor bids
Prepare and process master subcontract agreements, project specific amendments, and change order requests
Process miscellaneous administrative tasks such as subcontractor submittals and RFIs
Coordinate with contractors and inspectors for the completion of project
Perform Accounts Payable related duties for Land Development items
Assist with various reports and budget tracking
Interact with area municipalities and utility contractors
Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
Education and/or Experience
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
One to two years related experience and/or training
One or more years of proven purchasing/contract negotiation experience
General knowledge of construction and the components needed to development raw land
Possess exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well within a team
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
Proficiency with MS Office and email
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
J.D. Edwards experience a plus
Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
