Land Analyst Intern

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Land Analyst Intern. This is a part-time internship (10-20 hours per week) with an hourly rate of $20/hr. To be eligible for this internship, you must be a college undergraduate pursuing a business or real-estate related degree.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Identify and analyze viable land opportunities within the assigned geographic area

• Prepare underwriting pro formas for land opportunities by gathering homebuilding and apartment market data and construction/development cost estimates.

• Gather preliminary due diligence and assist in feasibility studies and land acquisition presentations

• Establish relationships with landowners, developers, builders, consultants, and government staff to maintain market presence and knowledge

• Conduct field research and compile competitive market analysis to inform future and existing community price and position strategies

• Assist in taking land opportunities through the firm's investment approval process

• Assist the feasibility and development teams with financial, regulatory, and contractual obligations of the purchase

REQUIREMENTS:

• To be eligible for this internship, you must be a college undergraduate pursuing a business or real-estate related degree

• Experience in residential development and/or construction industry a plus.

• Experience in Land Acquisition/Development planning, zoning, approvals, and/or design a plus.

• Experience in financial modeling/underwriting a plus.

• Proficient in MS Project Schedules and all Microsoft Office Products (especially Excel and Power Point).

• Must possess and maintain valid state driver's license.
