The Land Analyst position provides support to Land and Land Administration and is responsible for processing requests to set up and maintain working interest and net revenue decimals, change operators and certain well statuses in Continental's system of record for well data. This position is also responsible for creating and distributing several reports on behalf of the Land Department, performs regular audits to confirm and maintain the integrity of Land data in company systems of record, assists with basic mapping and coordinates projects on behalf of Land as needed.
Process requests to set up and maintain working interest and net revenue decimals, change operators and certain well statuses.
Troubleshoot system issues when errors with updates are encountered.
Compare and review ownership data provided by Land for accuracy and follow up with Land as required on discrepancies.
Perform weekly, semi-monthly and monthly audits to maintain data integrity.
Support in mapping of unmapped polygons.
Create reports as requested by Land, Accounting, Audit and Legal.
Assist with research, special projects and other duties as required.
Proficient computer skills with strong emphasis on Excel.
Solid understanding of Land agreements, processes and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
Proven team player who can adapt quickly to the work flow and environment.
Flexible, thorough, and prompt in high-pressure situations.
Takes initiative and is innovative.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University.
2 years of relevant Land experience with an active oil and gas exploration company.
Strong knowledge of Land applications, including Quorum and SAP with an eagerness to learn other internal applications quickly.
Ability to calculate working interest and net revenue interest.
Thorough understanding of land legal descriptions.
An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
