JOB SUMMARY: The Land Search Specialist is responsible for the maintenance of the land search database and will track new land opportunities for the Division. The Land Search Function will assist the Land Acquisition team with the analysis of new opportunities and the creation of a Land Search Strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify new land opportunities using GIS (Land Vision, Google Earth), Websites (LoopNet, Redfin) and Database (Metrostudy). Integrate this information into KB's customized database to track new land opportunities.

• Identify new land opportunities by reading City Council/Planning Commission Agendas and municipalizes GIS for zoning requirements.

• Attend meetings, internal and external, in-person and virtual.

• Facilitate various administrative land processes, including weekly status reports, preparing agendas for meetings for supervisor's review.

• Assist the Land Acquisition team with the analysis of new land opportunities including CMA's, scatters, exhibits, and financials

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications/Licenses

• Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred major in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Planning, Government Relations and/or Finance within the real estate or homebuilding discipline.

Experience

• Minimum requirements - office experience, college internship, data analytics research.

• Preferred - 1-2 years of residential land acquisition experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of GIS (Geospatial Information Systems) and or "Land-related" databases

• Strong organizational skills; able to handle multiple deadlines and create functional systems for handling data

• Action oriented, with the drive to push projects to successful closure

• Strong ability to work within a team setting, inclusive of other's ideas

• Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to take complex concepts and communicate succinctly and accurately

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Programs, with advanced excel skills required.

• Strong technical and analytical skills

• Professional dressed and punctual to meetings, uses a smartphone.

Location

• Position is onsite and based in our Wildomar Division Office (36310 Inland Valley Dr, Wildomar, CA 92595) #LI-onsite

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• Base Salary: The expected base salary range for this position is $55,000-70,000 per year depending on experience, paid semi-monthly.

• Bonus: This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
