Laminator Operator

Apply today to be a Laminator Operator with one of the most innovative and trusted packaging companies in the world. Printpack is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Laminator Operator for the Elgin, IL plant. The shift is 2nd Shift (3:00 pm

• 11:00 pm, M-F).

This position is for night shift (7p-7a) and includes an additional $2.50/hr shift differential on top of the base pay.

Key Responsibilities:

The Laminator Operator is responsible for the overall operation of the Laminator, which includes, but is not limited to:

• Set up and monitor the machine process to assure quality product

• Ensure productivity goals are met for department/machine by monitoring run speeds, set up times and coordination of support departments

• Troubleshoot and correct problems

• Communication orally and/or in writing to other departments for resolution of mechanical problems, reporting defective material, coordination of job preparations, change overs and daily shift information

• Accurate and timely production reporting

• Training new associates

• Comply with all safety rules

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous lamination/operator experience is preferred

• Ability to lift and push/pull 50-75 lbs and stand prolonged periods

• Ability to read a tape measure and possess basic computer skill

• Ability to work overtime when required
