POSITION TITLE: Lamination Operator

LOCATION: Statesville, NC

REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor

SHIFT: 3rd (Sunday-Monday 11 pm to 7 am)


  • Work well in a team environment committing to safety as your #1 priority

  • Maintain and control two or more lines running at 100% or better for up to an entire shift

  • Demonstrated troubleshooting ability for every component for at least two lines and several components for other lines

  • Setup and change over more than one line without supervision

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and thorough understanding of safety, procedural, and quality metrics

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of processing accurate and timely paperwork and SAP transactions

  • Take ownership of assigned lines and assists in driving needed production output with accurate data input

  • Make recommendations to improve production output and quality


  • Prefer 2 years industrial or mechanical oriented Associate's Degree or certificate from an accredited institution or organization a high school diploma or a GED equivalent only with relevant experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment as an operator

  • Experience with goal-oriented problem solving, as well as critical thinking abilities

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

  • Intermediate math skills, including fractions, ratios, decimal conversions, and mathematical functions, including Algebra

  • Ability to test weight and torque

  • Ability to accurately use a micrometer, ruler, calculator, and basic tools such as wrenches, pliers, and allen wrenches

  • Possess a valid state-issued driver's license

  • Good understanding of weights and measures

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal work instructions

  • Team player, works well with others, and respected by team members

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach, and grasp for varying periods of time during a consecutive 12-hour period

  • Ability to work in hot environment with frequent humidity changes while wearing the required PPE consisting of, but not limited to, safety shoes, safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection (as needed), and gloves

  • Ability to work overtime, flex shifts, and call-ins as needed in order to meet business needs

  • Pass a background check and drug screen

This position will be assigned to various production related tasks, which includes product manufacturing, product filling, and shipping related functions. This position is responsible for assisting the production team successfully achieve its goals and objectives Major tasks include: Advocate and practice the principals of the Safety program Participate in plant safety committee meetings and activities Operate paint making control systems Operate manufacturing equipment such as HSD's, pumps and valves Operate packaging equipment such as robotics, filling machines, case packers, labelers, etc. Operate forklifts Unloading of dry and liquid materials Loading of trucks with finished goods Monitor quality or product in manufacturing and packaging areas to include OTMIS (off the mill in spec), cycles, fill levels, package appearance, fill weights, and raw material certificate of analysis Use floor computers for reporting unsafe conditions, calling up order numbers, etc. Reading and following instructions in all areas of the production floor, manufacturing, packaging, shipping, receiving, etc. Participate in house keeping activities that are indicative of a safe and clutter free work environment Basic Qualifications: Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status Must be at least 18 years of age Must have access to reliable transportation Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation The successful candidate must also pass a pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.
