Performs simple manual tasks to include but not limited to the following duties:
Banquet room setup: With direction from the Venue Operations Coordinator (VOC) or Venue General Manager (VGM), prepares banquet rooms for events. This includes setting rooms in the appropriate format with necessary equipment such as chairs, tables, stage sections, dance floor, linens, chair covers, or other items required for the event.
Banquet room recovery: After an event, general cleaning of the room is performed such as vacuuming, empting trash receptacles, removing equipment or rearrange existing equipment to prepare for the next event.
Assists in the organization and distributing of supplies that are delivered to the facility.
Building Appearance: Assists in maintaining the overall appearance of the facility in between regularly scheduled janitorial service. Cleans and refreshes restrooms, restocks supplies, vacuums, sweeps and mops floors, cleans windows, cleans outdoor patio areas, picks up trash around the building, empties trash receptacles.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.
Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards.
Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

Ability to read simple signs and follow simple oral and written instructions in English. Move around well enough to work safely; lift and move light to medium-weight objects. Must be able to use simple tools and equipment such as a vacuum, hand-truck, chair dolly, leaf blower, etc.
Responsibility: Works with specific instructions and is not called upon to make decisions other than simple choices. For many tasks the supervisor frequently checks work; however, for other tasks, such as picking up all paper and trash in the parking lot, supervision is not necessary or practical.
Physical Effort: Work requires light to moderate physical effort and involves frequently lifting and carrying light-to medium-weight objects.
Pushes and pulls hand trucks, push carts, dollies, lifts tables and chairs etc. requiring similar effort; continually walks, bends, stoops and reaches. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance.
Working Conditions: Work performed indoors may expose the worker to drafts, noise, dust and dirt and require standing on concrete floors for long periods.
Outdoor work is not normally performed in bad weather. There is chance of minor injuries (Bruises, cuts, and scrapes).
