Job Summary: The Laborer position completes various laborer, and small equipment operation tasks to produce quality asphalt paving or concrete projects. Timely and regular attendance is essential to the Laborer position.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent.
2.Previous equipment maintenance & operation preferred.
3.Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, and acceptable driving record.
4.Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical. Essential Duties/Responsibilites: Performs any combination of following duties on construction projects, usually working in a utility capacity, by transferring from one task to another where demands require worker with varied experience and ability to work without close supervision.

ASPHALT / AGGREGATE
1.Measure distance from grade stakes, drive stakes & stretch tight line.
2.Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.
3.Level earth using pick or shovel (Aggregate or asphalt).
4.Level blacktop using lute.
5.Raise manhole covers.
6.Perform flagging duties as needed.
7.May operate small powered hand tools.
8.May operate small equipment including bobcat, tractor, or roller or move from one site to another.
9.Safely and properly perform maintenance (lubricating, fueling and cleaning) and operate small equipment, such as bobcat, tractor, jackhammer, roller, pickup truck, air compressor, tractor/packer, steel drum or rubber tire roller.
10. Shovel excess material away from crusher, screen or washplant unit as needed.
11. Remove road joints.
12. Hook up and un hook small trailer to pick-up.
13. Fill sand bags.
14. Change bag house bags.
15. Able to operate skidster for cleanup of materials.
16. Able to drive truck/skidster trailer combination to transport skidsters and other equipment and material from site to site (CDL license).

SHINGLE GRINDER
17. Level earth using pick or shovel (aggregate or asphalt).
18. May operate small powered hand tools.
19. May operate small equipment including bobcat, tractor, or roller or move from one site to another.
20. Clean around shingle grinder and perform laboring tasks involving working with fiberglass and other types of shingle.
21. Shovel material spillage from around conveyors and shingle grinder.
22. Change and replace shingle grinder screens and teeth.
23. Monitor belts, bearings, fluid levels and operation of shingle grinder and conveyors.

CONCRETE
28. Bolt, nail, align and block up under forms.
29. Smoothe and finish freshly poured cement or concrete using float, trowel or screed.
30. Keep concrete yard, and buildings neat and clean looking.
31. Perform housekeeping on various company equipment to keep them looking good to the public and customers, easier for operators and maintenance to do preventative maintenance checks, and for maintenance personnel to make repairs when needed.
32. Operate asphalt/concrete saw.
33. Cut and tying of rebar.
34. Perform general concrete set-up and tear-down of forms.

GENERAL
35. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others. Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
36. Ensure OSHA, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
37. Performs other duties as assigned. Benefits:

This position is knowledgeable in building systems and construction methods specifically in a health care environment. This position develops concepts and plans for facility growth or change in service as well as capital upkeep and replacement. The key role of this position is advisor to each individual facility managing director to assist in growth planning and implementation, as it relates to buildings and facility campus. This position has responsibility to oversee other Assistant PM and Regional PM as assigned to provide guidance on project decisions and regulatory interface. A Mentoring relationship will be required. Essential Job Duties Work closely with RVP, C-suite, RFM/DPO, FF&E and IT in the development of project scope and price. Differentiates between priority business needs and "nice-to-have?s" in order to assist in determining project priority and to resolve resource conflicts. Works closely with user groups to learn all aspects of user requirements in order to provide effective advice and recommendation. Ensure projects are completed on budget and schedule and that the projects incorporate the latest Behavioral Health/Acute best practices. Have the ability to manage multiple, large projects at one time with some supervision. Develop/engage project teams using a competitive RFP process. Assist in guiding project through local, State and Federal building restrictions and code compliance. Accurate budgeting, scheduling, logistics, ICRA, ILSM from conception through completion. Follow the CAR/PAC process for pre-validation, validation and request for full funding. Take a leadership role in finding new methods/approaches to help execute work faster and more efficiently. Challenge assumptions and bring new ideas to the table that could benefit the entire department in executing our role. Maintain a vendor ranking and ensure we reinforce success by re-engaging firms that perform excellent work and value the relationships in the system. Collecting historical cost and schedule data to utilize in predicting future cost and time to execute projects (send to corporate at projection completion). Ensure all parties on the project have executed a contract and have provided all the required insurances prior to commencing work. Ensure the highest ethical standards when dealing with our vendors. Ensure vendors compliant with the terms of the agreement and that the business terms agreed are fair to both the vendor. Use business term guidelines.
