Job Duties
As a maintenance laborer, you will:
equipment
hazards, wear, proper personal protection equipment, advocate for safety in the team
environment
and ice removal, and respond to other types of road hazards
cutting brush, pothole patching, looping asphalt, etc.

VDOT is an emergency response agency and you may work in diverse weather conditions and at times outside of normal work hours, especially during emergency operations
Minimum Qualifications

This is an hourly position and is not entitled to a state benefit package and is limited to no more than 1500 hours in a 12- month period.
Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment in Salem Residency's Botetourt, Craig and Roanoke County locations; includes New Castle, Southwest, Hanging Rock, Troutville, Buchanan, and Eagle Rock area headquarters.

This position also requires approved safety shoes (this is a reimbursable expense).
