What You'll Do
Operate auxiliary equipment. Assist Equipment Operators and Blasters in the maintenance of all equipment and the loading, mixing, unloading, delivery and preparation of explosive products for the customer in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Mow grass and weeds, plow snow, paint, wash equipment and pick up parts.
Operate auxiliary equipment in support of Equipment Operators, including forklifts, winches, lawn mowers, snow plow, snow blower, pressure washers and hand tools to provide timely, safe and quality service and product to the customer
Preform basic maintenance of assigned vehicles to assure its reliability and safe operation
Assure quality and accurate product delivery
Assist Equipment Operators and Blasters at blast site to safely serve the customer
Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions in shop, while operating equipment, and while on blast sites to protect personal safety and the safety of others
Knowledgeable and use practices consistent with company policies and procedures from applicable technical modules, SOPs, work site and safety policies and procedures
Knowledgeable of and comply with applicable DOT, OSHA, MSHA, EPA and BATFE
Ability to work accurately with numbers and perform simple mathematical calculations
Proactively handle safety issues and practice Take 5! Process by using the HAT tool to promote personal responsibility for safety
Maintain safe working conditions and assure that all crew members and others on the site follow all safety and regulatory procedures and practices to ensure a safe and successful event
Load and off load trucks and trailers
What We're Looking For:
Requires a HS degree or GED
Prior manual labor experience preferred
Ability to read, write and speak English and to communicate in writing and verbally.
Ability to use computers and other office equipment.
Must satisfy the requirements for a "Possessor of Explosives" as defined by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms
Good record keeping and reporting skills
Satisfactory completion of and demonstrated competencies in DNNA specified training modules, work rules, including technical, regulatory and other applicable skill based training
