This position is located at MCBH KLIPPER GOLF COURSE. Candidates selected for this position will serve as a LABORER (CART BARN) A02* for MCCS.

Responsibilities

Performs simple manual tasks including one or more of the following duties: Drags driving range using simple push-type or powered equipment; washes golf balls; changes tee markers; keeps electric carts in good supply on front line; washes and dries carts; and policies driving range area. May assist the mechanic in repairing flat tires of golf carts.

Works with specific instructions, and is not called upon to make decisions other than simple choices. For many tasks the supervisor frequently checks work, however for other tasks, such as picking up all trash, washing golf carts and golf balls, supervision is not necessary or practical.

Work performed indoors may expose the worker to drafts, noise, dust and dirt and require standing on concrete floor. Outdoor work is not normally performed in all kinds of weather characteristic of Hawaii. There is chance of minor injuries (Bruises, cuts, and scrapes).

Performs other related duties as assigned.

EVALUATIONS:

Qualifications

Ability to read simple signs and follow simple oral instructions; move around well enough to work safely; lift and move light to medium-weight objects. Must be able to use simple tools and equipment such as powered equipment (golf cart), etc.

Work requires light to moderate physical effort and involves frequently lifting and carrying light-to medium-weight objects of about 10-30 lbs. May drag garden hoses and pushes carts requiring similar effort. Occasionally lifts and carries moderately heavy objects up to 45 lbs., and continually walks, bends, stoops and reaches.

Learn more about this agency Responsibilities Serves as construction planner/project manager on staff of a centralized construction activity for Marine Corps Community Services facilities. Facilities technical work in then the development, construction, inspection, and production of MCCS facilities and structures. Coordinates site planning, design and development of facilities and structures such as retail stores, food and hospitality facilities, recreation facilities, and related MCCS structures and projects. Understands planning analysis which may require application of knowledge of architectural principles and concepts, a creative sense, and skill to use aspects of construction and the physical sciences to design and construct new, or improve existing buildings. Exercises judgment and resourcefulness to supplement inadequate and conflicting data, recognize problems and develop solutions. Addresses issues to include: activity needs, structural soundness, esthetic appeal and economics for operation. May be required to assist in locating sites, and evaluating site adequacy. May be required to assist in supporting environmental impact statements. May be required to support technical portions of design contracts, and design concepts. May be asked to provide assistance in developing construction documents and construction estimates based on evaluation of costs, interior renovation, and furnishings required to complete the facility. May be asked to provide input for long term construction plans. Monitors and coordinates projects planning, design, production and construction stages. Uses a personal computer and related programs to initiate computer aided designs for projects. May prepare preliminary drawings, construction drawings, and specifications. Familiarity with related trades such as electrical and mechanical type work areas. Plans, organizes work, and manages internal procedures and resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Monitors programs on a regular basis, and initiates corrective action to ensure support of operating programs of MCCS. Develops long-range plans in conjunction with internal operating directives.
