Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Mettler Toledo needs to add to our telesales team in Columbus, Ohio. As a Telesales Specialist, you will primarily sell preventive maintenance service contracts to prospective customers and dealers. This job will rely on your expertise to pre-qualify, engage, and close sales with prospects through the phone, email, social selling and other related sales channels and technologies. Also within this role, you will:

  • Meet and exceed sales quotas assigned to you

  • Execute outbound sales campaigns

  • Employ professional selling skills to qualify, engage, follow-up and cross-sell

  • Nurture and work sales leads to develop and progress prospects to the next stage of the sales cycle

  • Qualify sales leads and obtain basic qualifying information

  • Accurately quote and promote products, services, and solutions to small and medium accounts large accounts as requested by external sales

  • Track, record, and update data ensuring database and reporting integrity

  • Identify trends and make recommendations on alternative sales offers or approaches

What You Need to Succeed

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related life science field

  • Worked in sales, customer service and/marketing for at least 2 to 3 years

  • A competitive spirit and a preference for work in a fast-paced sales environment

  • A proven ability and technical acumen to learn our products and sell our service contracts

  • The ability to communicate product knowledge, differentiate from the competition, and solve customer problems

  • Excellent people skills to create rapport with prospects quickly

  • Inbound or outbound call center experience or worked in a telesales role before

  • Experience using SAP's CRM system

Prepare samples and paperwork for external laboratory evaluations. This position requires a mechanical and technical aptitude and an ability to follow work instructions. Comply with all environmental, health, and safety requirement. Duties: * You will receive samples from production to ensure proper paperwork and requests have been provided * You will maintain cleanliness of the MCL lab processing area * You will prepare samples for hydrogen analysis * We perform hardness testing on samples and fill out the proper paperwork and log sheets * You will fill out a wide variety of routine paperwork, also using automated data processing systems as required * We maintain MCL databases and files and ensure proper filing of documentation * Submitting maintenance work orders and performing quality checks on equipment as needed * You will cut-up, mount, polish, and etch samples as required by the specifications for evaluation * You will perform all duties with the highest regard for safety, always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and be familiar with all Safety data sheets (SDS) sheets pertaining to the chemicals in the MCL lab * You will perform lifting and related work following all EH&S/Ergonomic/Cardinal rule guidelines * Proficient in all operation procedures and procedures pertaining to the MCL lab operations * Positive Relationships * You will perform all tasks at the highest level of safety awareness Employment Type Full time United Technologies Corporation Columbus OH
