Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Mettler Toledo needs to add to our telesales team in Columbus, Ohio. As a Telesales Specialist, you will primarily sell preventive maintenance service contracts to prospective customers and dealers. This job will rely on your expertise to pre-qualify, engage, and close sales with prospects through the phone, email, social selling and other related sales channels and technologies. Also within this role, you will:
Meet and exceed sales quotas assigned to you
Execute outbound sales campaigns
Employ professional selling skills to qualify, engage, follow-up and cross-sell
Nurture and work sales leads to develop and progress prospects to the next stage of the sales cycle
Qualify sales leads and obtain basic qualifying information
Accurately quote and promote products, services, and solutions to small and medium accounts large accounts as requested by external sales
Track, record, and update data ensuring database and reporting integrity
Identify trends and make recommendations on alternative sales offers or approaches
What You Need to Succeed
A Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related life science field
Worked in sales, customer service and/marketing for at least 2 to 3 years
A competitive spirit and a preference for work in a fast-paced sales environment
A proven ability and technical acumen to learn our products and sell our service contracts
The ability to communicate product knowledge, differentiate from the competition, and solve customer problems
Excellent people skills to create rapport with prospects quickly
Inbound or outbound call center experience or worked in a telesales role before
Experience using SAP's CRM system
