Perform and maintains competency in the technical and related work of the Hematology Laboratory. - - -Manage the physical environment of the laboratory in accordance with New York Department of Health, OSHA, and CLIA regulations.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on all laboratory matters. Assures compliance with MSKCC P&P's, and regulatory agency requirements.
Develop, implement, and monitor the quality assurance plan, oversees daily operations and promotes a safe environment.
Oversee Annually reviews and revises site specific P& P's in collaboration with the MSKCC Laboratory, the Laboratory Director and the Laboratory manager.
Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Science required. ASCP preferred.
Also requires 6 years minimum experience in laboratory medicine.
Knowledge of laboratory policy and procedures and regulations.
Excellent phlebotomy, computer, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to problem solve and work with others as well as independently
