Laboratory Technician

Piper Companies is looking for a Laboratory Technician IV to join an organization supporting infectious disease research located in Frederick, MD. The Laboratory Technician IV will assist with aerosol exposures and animal research protocols.

Responsibilities of the Laboratory Technician IV include:

• Generate, characterize, and sample biological aerosols to help support countermeasure studies

• Perform Telemetry on animal models during studies

• Conduct studies independently and collaboratively with others during all phases

• Perform various assays such as plating assays, ELISA, RT-PCR, microarray, cytokine analysis, viral and bacterial stock characterization, and in vitro sample analysis assays as required

Qualifications for the Laboratory Technician IV include:

• 4+ years of experience working in a BSL-3 or BSL-4

• Previous experience with Telemetry or Aerosol

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

• Bachelor of Science in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field

Compensation for the Laboratory Technician IV include:

• Salary/Rate Range: $30 - $38 Per Hour depending on experience
