This position will complement MCC's existing team of research and development professionals within the North American Consumer Package Group, Food &Beverage Group, and provide support to the Division globally. The successful candidate will possess a mix of outstanding technical capabilities, coupled with the personal desire and confidence to implement solutions and deliver business results.
General house-keeping of lab
Coat weight testing and documentation for select incoming materials
MCC directed testing:
Conduct customer specific testing as needed
Proficient in all laboratory testing with documentation of detailed test reports
Mock up development
Hand decoration of containers for testing and sales support.
Operate shrink tunnel as needed. Sales sample production
Operate tube labeler as needed
Support technical/field service problem solving teams
Other tasks as needed
Requirements for the Laboratory Technician
2+ years of experience working in a lab, preferably in a production facility
AS or BS degree in Chemistry or related field preferred
Working knowledge of chemistry principles
Working knowledge of general lab operations and EH&S procedures and principles
Experience with wet chemistry and physical sample analysis would be a plus
Analytical instrumentation experience
The ideal candidate will have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, external customers and internal clients
Read and interpret testing standards
Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.
He or she will have good organizational skills as well as a basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite (Excel and Word). This position requires knowledge of basic mathematical computations and the ability to physically perform the essential duties.
