Providence is calling a Laboratory Client Services Representative to Providence Office Park in Portland, OR. This is a full-time, day shift position.

In this position, you will:

  • Be responsible for handling customer inquiries by telephone regarding verbal reporting of results, concerns of service failures and other duties to provide customer satisfaction.

  • Report laboratory results to clients using established protocols, document reporting or call history in the patient''s electronic record, and maintain appropriate records.

  • Contact clients to resolve routine issues related to patient testing and result reporting.

  • Identify account and sales Executives of issues that may require a face to face visit and/or generate Sales leads for Sales Specialists.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 year industry related experience

  • Knowledge of specimen handling and collection requirements, general laboratory workflow and basic medical terminology.

  • Proficiency in the use of personal computer applications and current on new technology.

  • Ability to type 30 wpm.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 1-2 experience in customer service, in a high volume call center and possess a lab background.

  • Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant experience preferred

They serve as members of a high performance team providing technical support over the phone, by email, or chat. Help Desk Agents are under the supervision of the Help Desk Supervisor.# # # The agent will be required to answer incoming calls within specified service level metrics, and log the detailed specifics of the call into the Ticket Management system. They will either resolve the issue quickly while the customer is on the phone, or they will triage the call to another IS Department for resolution. Call times, resolution rates, and transfer statistics are continuously measured to ensure customers are responded to quickly, and their issues are handled in the most courteous and professional way.# # The Help Desk agent will be responsible for ensuring a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving,and ensuring agreed procedures and standards are met. While on the job, they will be expected to learn and use the latest technology in call center equipment and applications. They are expected to impress upon the customer their keen technical trouble-shooting ability, problem solving skills, and excellent customer service attitude.
