Qualifications Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and three to five years laboratory experience. Associates degree in Business or one of the Biological Sciences preferred. Certification of training in Packaging and Shipping of Biological Specimens, Division 6.2, in compliance with the current IATA and DOT requirements required.
Requires recertification every 2 years. Work requires the ability to gather and interpret data in situations where the information or problems are not overly difficult or complex. Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters with appropriate personnel.
Work may require interaction with patients and their families, visitors and/or other hospital personnel, where ordinary courtesy and tact are required. Work is performed according to established schedules and existing procedures, however employee must be able to set work priorities, organize work, and select proper equipment and supplies.
