Job Summary/Basic Functions

Lab Assistant - to assist in the preparation of a collection of plant seeds for the detection of fungal associates. Duties include record keeping, preparing seeds for PCR analysis, arraying seeds in 96 well plates for processing, and training in the PCR technique for fungal associate detection. Knowledge of basic laboratory safety practices is required.
