Description:The Labor Relations (LR) Project Manager will manage LR activities across multiple unions and bargaining units as they relate to their respective collective bargaining agreements and establish/maintain positive working relationships with local management and union officials.
The successful candidate will provide labor relations guidance and counsel and participate in the development of LR strategy and planning across the enterprise, including, but not limited to contract negotiations, arbitration proceedings, international LR, operational initiatives support, integration activities, and other dispute resolution activities.
The successful candidate must have prior project management experience leading large cross functional teams, developing project plans, and ensuring the timely execution of project deliverables. Additionally, the LR Project Manager will lead and support employee engagement activities for the LR function.
BA/BS degree w/10+ years experience; or MA/MS degree w/7+ years experience. Advanced degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. JD a plus.
Labor Relations experience in a union-represented manufacturing environment;
Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills;
Ability to coach and mentor junior talent;
Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills;
Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills;
Superior ability to analyze information and form recommendations;
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment;
Strong organizational and time-management skills - must to be able to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment;
Proven experience in dispute resolution and demonstrated strength in strategic leadership, customer focus, business judgment;
Ability to interface with senior leadership across multiple disciplines and provide support for business initiatives;
Ability to interface with union leadership.
