Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, a leading national law firm, is seeking an Associate with 1-3 years employment litigation experience for its New York office.

The ideal candidate will have general litigation experience, as well as some experience with employment counseling and litigation, defense of discrimination claims, and representing and advising clients in compliance with local employment laws, collective bargaining, wage and hour matters and related issues.

Qualified candidates will also have strong research and writing skills, top quality work product, a commitment to exceptional client service, an interest in business development efforts, and will work well within a team.

The position will report to the Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment - Investigations and help provide employment law support to the North America Employment Investigations team. This is a full-time position. LEAD COUNSEL, LABOR & EMPLOYMENT – INVESTIGATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide employment law support for internal workplace investigations Advising on internal investigations conducted by the Employment Investigations team, including partnering with investigators on strategy and witness interviews Communicating case status updates to relevant stakeholders Recommending disciplinary or other remedial actions based on investigation findings Participating in close-out meetings with investigators, HR, ER, and the impacted business Reviewing investigation reports Coordinating responses to employment law matters reported through the whistleblower hotline Assisting in periodic investigation-related reporting Advising on investigation processes and training programs Must be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary to connect with colleagues in LATAM, APAC, and EMEA MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar 5+ years of experience in labor and employment law Experience investigating and/or advising on investigations of employee complaints, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower, and policy violations Experience litigating employment matters Experience with California employment law Experience communicating with all levels of employees and influencing cross-functional partners Experience working hands-on independently and amongst a team PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience with international employment issues Facebook's mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together.
