Labor And Delivery Registered Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team at our facility in Los Angeles, CA. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will be responsible for providing care and support to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

- Provide personalized care to expectant mothers throughout the labor and delivery process

- Monitor fetal heart rate, contraction patterns, and maternal vital signs

- Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans

- Educate and support new mothers in breastfeeding and newborn care

- Participate in emergency obstetric and neonatal resuscitation procedures as needed

- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Active RN license in the state of California

- BSN degree or equivalent

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing

- Current BLS and NRP certifications

- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
