Labor And Delivery Registered Nurse

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery RN at NCG Associates, you will have the opportunity to provide specialized care to expectant mothers and their babies during the labor and delivery process.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor the progress of labor, including vital signs and fetal heart rate
• Administer medications and pain management techniques as prescribed
• Assist with prenatal examinations and assessments
• Provide emotional support and education to expectant mothers and their families
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized birth plans
• Assist with the delivery process and postpartum care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Adhere to all applicable healthcare regulations and protocols
• Stay current on labor and delivery best practices and participate in ongoing professional development

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing
• Strong knowledge of labor and delivery procedures, techniques, and standards of practice
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and provide support in high-pressure situations
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred

Location: Great Bend, KS

Class/Area: RN LDR

Pay Rate: $1,620 - $1800 weekly depending on experience

Desired Start Date: May 13th or 20th

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Hours per Week: 36

Shift and Time: Nights; 12 hours

Schedule Details: 1845 - 0715

On-call Details : 4 on-call shifts per month. One 12-hour shift a week

Weekend Rotation: Every other

Holidays Requirements: Required

Floating Requirements: Will float to Med/Surg as needed

Experience Required: 1-year LDR

License Required:Kansas RN

Certi
ficates Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP |Must have taken a fetal monitoring class (intermediate or advanced) within the past 24 months.
