Labor And Delivery Manager

As a Labor and Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the labor and delivery unit. You will work closely with a team of nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality and patient-centered care. You will be responsible for managing staffing levels, implementing policies and procedures, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the labor and delivery unit, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with established protocols and guidelines
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and procedures
• Promote a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff
• Oversee the timely and accurate completion of documentation, including patient records and regulatory reports
• Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and implement strategies to improve quality and safety
• Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of labor and delivery staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of California
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in labor and delivery nursing
• Previous management or leadership experience in a labor and delivery unit or similar setting
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of current best practices in labor and delivery care and unit management
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Strong organizational and time management skills
