Lab Technician Part Time

We are now looking for a part-time Lab technician for our Industry and Water Coagulants segment at our East Chicago, IN facility. This person will be responsible for working alongside our team of chemists to ensure that all lab related functions are conducted properly.

In this role you'll be responsible for:

• Performing routine and non-routine lab tasks, analyses, and assignments as assigned.

• Assisting to ensure the laboratory meets ISO 17025 and Kemira quality requirements.

• Maintaining acceptable quality performance.

• Maintaining excellent housekeeping.

• Working safely and complying with all Health, Safety, and Environmental rules and policies.

• Working independently in the lab, but also as an important member of the lab team.

What you'll bring to the team:

• 2 years of college level chemistry and/or 1-3 years experience

• Strong verbal and written communication.

• Good interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.

• Experience working with little supervision.

• Experience with MS office applications including word, excel, power point and outlook.
