We are looking for a Lab Technician to join our growing team. The Lab Technician assists the Lab Manager in the operations of the lab ensuring quality and same day service standards are met.

What would you do? The Specifics

  • Achieve and maintain the highest level of customer service.

  • Operate all lab machinery to fabricate quality eyewear that conforms to Company standards and tolerances.

  • Perform machine maintenance.

  • Maintain awareness of same day service using "Ready When Promised" production board.

  • Accurately and promptly complete all required paperwork/documentation.

  • Assist with answering phone efficiently in accordance with NVI telephone protocol.

VIEW JOBS 2/23/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-05-24T00:00 Summary Provides "painless" phlebotomy procedures utilizing universal precautions and safe work practices. Processes specimens and demonstrates proper handling of samples. Instructs patients on Coumadin and performs limited waived testing (Protimes). Maintains sample integrity by positive identification and labeling (2 identifiers). Maintains work area, supplies and cleanliness. Excellent bedside manner with patients. Provides comfort and instructions to patients. All other duties as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Performs painless venipuncture and capillary puncture for the Coumadin clinic * Identifies patient following protocol * Prepares samples for processing w/correct label and bar code and inspects vials * Reconciles outstanding sample report at day's end. * Observes safety procedures and sample prep Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Athena Database software; Microsoft Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
