LAB Technician II

Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Tech II in Maplewood, MN with a well-known industry leader.

In this Role you will support product development engineers through physical property and optical testing/characterization and sample prep.

This is a first shift position.

As a Lab Tech II you will:

• Follow test methods and verbal direction to perform testing requested by engineers.

• Record, analyze and report the sample properties/performance correctly and accurately

• Actively engage in communication related to testing and results, equipment issues, and workload progress. Communicating results in both oral and written forms.

Estimated Duration 24+ months.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Completed at least one (1) semester of a post high school degree program from an accredited college or university or two (2) years of experience as a technician in lieu of the above education requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AAS degree or bachelor's degree or some college exposure plus work experience

• Applicant must be comfortable working in a laboratory environment.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Self-motivated, flexible and results oriented.

Pay Rate: $24.42 hr.

• Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
