Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
The Strand Lab is in need of a full-time research technician position. The incumbent will be responsible for helping to maintain the day-to-day activities of the research laboratory.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Basic computer skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity and comfort with insects and mammals (rats).
Physical Demands
Work is normally performed in a laboratory environment.
Remaining in normal seated or standing position for extended periods of time
Reaching and grasping with extending hands and arm; dexterity with small insects including insect eggs.
Driving as needed to perform job duties.
