Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York.

Summary:

Performs phlebotomy (venipunctures), assists technical staff in preparing specimens and equipment for patient testing. Maintains proper inventory of reagents and control materials. Performs clerical functions associated with accessioning, result reporting, referred testing and customer service.

Responsibilities:

1.Performs all duties and responsibilities of a Laboratory Technical Assistant Phlebotomist I.

2.Performs registration following applicable policy and procedure.

3.Assists Laboratory Management with collection of data as needed.

4.Communicates well with other staff members to ensure excellent customer service and appropriate follow-up.

5.Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

6.Performs other duties as assigned.

Other information:

Required: Strong phlebotomy skills.

Organizational and customer service skills. Data entry.

High School diploma. Minimum experience: three years.

Desired: Phlebotomy Certification preferred, not required.
