Lab Technician

Lab Technician - Paying up to $20/hr.

Description:

• Maintain stock cultures in the lab

• Media and solution preparation

• Able to perform aseptic technique with a low percentage of contamination

• Biological testing of products

• Become familiar and stay current on relevant scientific literature

• Assist with the preparation and writing of documentation for products

• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards and guidelines (OSHA, Federal and State Local Laws)

• Updates job knowledge by participating in in-house training and safety meetings.

• Enhances product quality and company goals; accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills & Qualifications:

• BS degree in College of Biological/Plant Sciences or associates
• 2+ years wet laboratory and plant tissue culture experience (preferred)
• Good problem-solving abilities and a basic understanding of experimental design
