Job Description:

Scope:

As a Lab Technician you will work in a team-oriented environment, operating production equipment and performing a variety of tasks. Your strong attention to detail and safety orientation would play a key role in producing printed circuit boards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Involved in the preparation and completion of work on a daily basis.

  • Ability to work with chemicals such as but not limited to alcohol and acrylics.

  • Works on micro sections, and has knowledge of different micro sections.

  • Performs the testing of the products and the completion of all documentation involved.

  • Communicates regularly to supervisors and managers, suggests and composes procedural changes, maintains a clean, safe work environment, and communicates to supervisor safety hazards and issues.

  • Generates, accumulates, and handles hazardous wastes generated in daily operations, as directed by the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager.

  • Follow safety regulations, policies and procedures

Essential Knowledge and

Skills:
  • Working knowledge of entire process, documentation, IPC Test methods and SPC.

  • Possess chemical analysis skills, computer knowledge and micro section prep and analysis experience.

  • Visual acuity as well as eye and hand coordination a must.

  • Excellent communication skills, as well, as reading, writing and mathematical abilities.

  • Ability to follow instructions, quality conscious, detail-oriented, organized and able to prioritize work.

  • Team payer with ability to interface with all levels of the organization.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.

  • Lab Technician experience is preferred.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation.

Responsible for following all rules applicable to handling, packaging and labeling in preparation for shipment of materials. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Performs daily tasks in the collection and storage of recyclable materials * Movement and storage of materials * Labeling of containers and maintaining records of types and weights * Providing notification of shipments needed * Assisting in warehouse activities and tasks * Performing Oracle transactions for chemistry issues * Obtain chemistry items as requested by Customers * Assist in tanker replenishment of chemicals * Pump chemicals from containers to other containers and various tanks * Other tasks as determined by supervisor * Operate a forklift to pick up and deliver chemicals and other materials * Perform maintenance and housekeeping of area as required. * Supports the loading/unloading of chemical tanker operations. * Understands safety practices and follows a safety first approach to all activities, and maintains area cleanliness. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE * Knowledge Skills: * High school math and English and chemistry, or equivalent.Good reading and writing skills. * Basic computer skills. * Obtain a forklift license. * Take Hazardous Waste and DOT training. * Personal Skills: * Follows through on assignments and commitments and meets deadlines.Assumes responsibility independently, recognizes and completes unassigned tasks.Continually seeks to improve skills and knowledge. * Punctual and establishes high attendance standards. * Requires little supervision * Willingly accepts change, and can work at different paces. * Displays helpful, congenial behaviors, is courteous, cooperative and supportive of others.Inspires team work and productivity. * Uses good judgment and chooses the best method to accomplish a task. * Physical Skills: * Hand/foot and eye coordination required. * Requires color and depth perception.
