Lab Support Specialist (Phlebotomy)

Summary of Position: Performs phlebotomy techniques to obtain blood specimens on patients of all ages.# Interprets and transcribes physician orders onto manual requisitions and into the computer Order Entry System.# Performs all medically necessary activities required.# Assists in lab functions as required for proper specimen accessioning.

Assist in training new employees. Assist in clerical functions of department. Minimum Qualifications:

High school graduate or GED required.# Prior phlebotomy experience preferred. Certification or eligible with a recognized board of registry recommended. Valid New York State driver#s license required.

Must be able to be approved to drive under Saratoga Hospital#s auto insurance for shifts requiring travel for offsite specimen collection. Salary Range: $16.72 - $27.45 Pay Grade: 17 Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to: overall experience and qualifications, shift, and location.
