Job Description
Select Chemistry's Lab Supervisor will supervise Chemists and Lab Technicians; directing, coordinating, train, and advising lab personnel in test procedures for analyzing components and physical properties of materials; developing, improving, and customizing products, equipment, and analytical methods; conferring with scientists and engineers to conduct analyses of research projects, interpret test results, or develop non-standard tests; interact with the sales and field technical staff to understand their needs; developing and managing product files; and recommending instruments and equipment for the laboratory. Write and maintain methods. The position supervises shift work and in some cases requires flexible hours to effectively manage personnel.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, preferred.
Must have at least 4 years' experience in laboratory setting, preferably in oil and gas industry. 2 years in analytical lab setting is highly preferred.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience, preferred.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees.
Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Strong ability and desire to train, write methods and reports; ability to supervise.

Environment will be extremely noisy and chaotic at times.
Need to have a high degree of concentration in a busy area.
Must sit for extended periods of time.
Monday through Sunday, over-time as required (24hr business operations).
