In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Supervisor, Laboratory is responsible for day-to-day supervision of assigned section(s), ensuring that specimens are collected and received according to policy, and that tests are run and reported expeditiously following all quality assurance standards, policies and procedures. The Supervisor, Laboratory shares in the workload of the respective section(s) and focuses on professional development and growth for colleagues and self.
Responsibilities
Creates a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care.
Practices established safety procedures, including Universal Precautions and proper use of safety equipment.
This position will support the 2nd and 3rd shift and work primarily Monday
Friday, 2p.m.
10:30 p.m. with on-call coverage every 4th weekend.
Requirements/Qualifications
Baccalaureate or Associate degree.
Certification in laboratory related field required for off shift and site supervisors.
Minimum of two years relevant section(s) experience preferred.
